Counselling, Coaching & Training
My passion for learning more about counselling began in 2006 when I had counselling. I had been suffering from post-natal depression. The ten counselling sessions I had then were life changing. I decided that I would like to train as a Counsellor so that I could help and support others.
In 2011 I qualified as a Counsellor using a Person-Centred approach. At the time of qualifying, I was working as a Distribution Centre Manager. I discovered my counselling skills were invaluable, they enable me to support my team through difficult life events. After I qualified, I continued to volunteer in the evening and at weekends so that I could develop my skills and expand my range of experience.
In 2018 I hung up my Hi Viz jacket and left the world of distribution and I took the plunge to start my own business. I felt ready to make my passion my work.
I provide counselling, coaching and supported therapy sessions. I designed a series of Anxiety Workshops, these support people to understand anxiety and provide them with the tools and techniques to successfully manage anxiety. I run a free monthly support group for helping people with emotional issues.
I also design and deliver bespoke in-house training for mental health awareness, emotional well being and staff development and team building.
In 2020 I became an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner, and I am currently studying a post graduate course to increase my skills using CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). My primary modality is still Person Centred however I now use an integrated approach using other techniques (CBT, NLP) in my work, to enable the best results possible for every client.
People come to counselling for a variety of reasons. I have a wealth of experience working with work related stress, anxiety, depression, self-confidence, anger management, bereavement, menopause, redundancy, relationship/family issues, and managing life changes.
Each and every client is different. I love my job and I enjoy seeing people getting the insights and benefits that counselling and coaching brings them.

I work predominantly as a person-centred counsellor. I believe that everyone has the resources to find their own answers and make positive changes to their lives.
Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk through what’s really on your mind in a safe, calm and confidential environment. Counselling offers you the opportunity to work through your thoughts and feelings and explore what these really mean to you.
I integrate Person Centred methods with some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which can provide more structure to our sessions and produces results. I am a qualified Neuro Linguistic Practitioner and I used NLP tools in some sessions. I try and adapt to your needs and I am flexible in my approach.
Sessions usually are once a week and last for one hour. These are your sessions and I work to your agenda and at your speed. Each session gives you an opportunity to off load and work through what is on your mind.
I am trained to listen and not judge, to be respectful and always treat you with dignity. Counselling offers you a safe space to explore, discover your own solutions and create a way forward.
